Christopher Ryder of Grants Pass, Ore., both assigned to Iron Hawk Troop, 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, move to set a cordon around their commander upon their arrival at Combat Out Post Shan in the al-Bareed neighborhood of Mosul, Iraq April 6. The COP is still under construction and not yet secure.
