ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 15, 2024) Electronics Technician 3rd Class Deacon Sabin (left), assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), and Pfc. Van Chavez, assigned to the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, serve lunch in the ship’s wardroom, May 15. Bataan is returning to homeport after supporting the U.S. Navy’s first ever Fleet Week Miami. Fleet Week Miami provides an excellent opportunity for U.S. Navy Sailors and Marines of visiting ship’s and commands, to demonstrate America’s Warfighting Navy and exhibit the quality of Navy Sailors and Marines to the citizens of South Florida.
