YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 16, 2024) - USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) Sailors man the rails as the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier departs Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan for the last time May 16, 2024. Reagan first arrived in Yokosuka Oct. 1, 2015 after completing a hull swap with USS George Washington (CVN 73). Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.(U.S. Navy photo by James Kimber)
