NAVAL BASE GUAM, Guam (May 16, 2024) - The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) held a recognition breakfast at the U.S. Naval Base Guam Chapel to honor the military members who participated in the annual Active Duty Fund Drive.
This year, Sailors and Marines raised an impressive $133,818 for the organization.
Joint Region Marianas Command Master Chief William “Cody” Webster thanked the service members for their hard work and applauded them for their efforts to embody the NMCRS motto, “by our own, for our own.”
Following Typhoon Mawar, NMCRS provided $1.3 million in grants and nearly $1 million dollars in interest-free loans. Celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, NMCRS continues to offer financial, educational, and other assistance to Naval service members, their families, and survivors, including interest free loans, scholarships, financial counseling, and more.
