NORFOLK, Va. (May 16, 2024) Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) Sailors set an anchor chain stopper during a sea and anchor evolution, May 16. Bataan has returned to homeport after supporting the U.S. Navy’s first ever Fleet Week Miami. Bataan is currently in preparation for Fleet Week New York 2024. Fleet Week New York is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the attest capabilities of today’s maritime services.
