A tiger mascot headpiece is prepared for a static display featuring a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 909th Air Refueling Squadron, Kadena Air Base, before the official opening of 2024 Japanese-American Friendship Festival at Yokota Air Base, Japan, May 18, 2024. The two-day bilateral festival allowed visitors to learn more about the U.S. and Japan partnership while strengthening bonds between Yokota and the local communities. The event was hosted due to the combined efforts and support of the Japan Air and Ground Self-Defense Forces, sister services and the local communities. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
