Pallets of Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs), flown in from the Morocco spoke of African Lion 2024 (AL24) on a Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (Forces Armées Royales, FAR) C-130, arrive at Tamale Air Force Base, Ghana, May 15, 2024. The arrival of the MREs highlights the international partnership and logistical coordination of the exercise. AL24 marks the 20th anniversary of U.S. Africa Command’s premier joint exercise led by SETAF-AF, running from April 19 to May 31 across Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, and Tunisia, with over 8,100 participants from 27 nations and NATO contingents.
