The 134th Air Refueling Wing hosted an ‘open hangar’ event for local junior ROTC groups here April 17, 2024.
The event brought together representatives from the local Army National Guard as well as multiple disciplines across the Wing to demonstrate their career fields and answer questions from students with an expressed interest in the military. By hosting a single event instead of offering each school a tour on different dates, the open hangar event saves hundreds of hours of Airmen’s time across the Wing. In addition to the educational experience, students participated in a fitness competition, a color guard competition, and a knowledge competition.
