US Army Soldier, assigned to the 1st Multi-Domain Effects Battalion (MDEB), 1st Multi-Domain Task Force (1MDTF), briefs US Army Gen. Charles Flynn, commanding general of United States Army Pacific Command, Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, commander of the Philippine Army, and Philippine Air Force Maj. Gen. Fernyl Buca, commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), on a solar uncrewed aerial vehicle during a 1MDTF site visit in Northern Luzon, Philippines, April 28, 2024 in support of Exercise Balikatan 24. During Balikatan 24, US forces will train with our Philippine Allies and other participating forces to integrate communications, sensing, and targeting systems throughout the scenario. The intent of training and integrating these systems across the combined force is to increase our combined capacity. BK 24 is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the US military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
