U.S. Army Technical Sgt. Saul J. Joseph poses for a photo. Joseph is the grandfather of U.S. Army Maj. Jennifer Stachura, civil affairs team leader, 437th Civil Affairs Battalion, 354th Civil Affairs Brigade, 352nd Civil Affairs Command. Joseph’s service inspired Stachura to pursue careers in both nursing and the U.S. Army Reserve. Stachura is currently deployed to Ghana, with the U.S. Southern European Task Force, Africa Civil Affairs Battalion. Her civil affairs team is supporting African Lion 2024. This year marks the 20th anniversary of U.S. Africa Command’s premier joint exercise led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), running from April 19 to May 31 across Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia, with over 8,100 participants from 27 nations and NATO contingents.
