U.S. Army Sgt. Ivette Jimenez, an infantry soldier assigned to Charlie “Wildcard” Company and Spc. Tiana Armstrong, an automated logistical specialist assigned to Golf “Gambler” Company, 2nd Cavalry Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, along with their NATO teammate, receive their medals they earned by competing in Mini Formoza Challenge May 26, 2024, in Ciechanow, Poland. The Mini Formoza Challenge consisted of a 1000 meter sprint, a tactical boat shuttle, 25 meter low crawl, simulated grenade throw, labyrinth run and culminating in a paintball accuracy shoot. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, strengthening interoperability with NATO allies and regional security partners, which provides competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
