A U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. (Drum Major) of the 726th Air Mobility Squadron Honor Platoon lay down a red Rose to the grave of General George S. Patton Jr. on Memorial Day 2024. The U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg and the American Battle Monuments Commission, held the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Luxembourg American Cemetery, commemorating the men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service. The city of Luxembourg served as headquarters for General George S. Patton's U.S. Third Army. The cemetery is the final resting place of General Patton.
