ASAN, Guam (May 25, 2024) - Military personnel and the local community gathered at Asan Beach Park this Memorial Day weekend for a gesture of remembrance. Together, they placed 3,050 flags: 1,880 U.S. flags for the heroes of the 1941 Japanese invasion and the 1944 battle, and 1,170 Guam flags for the Chamorro lives lost.
