Sailors and Marines aboard amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1) take part in a pick-up game of basketball during a steel beach picnic held in the ship's hangar bay. Tarawa is currently conducting operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. Maritime Security Operations help set the conditions for security in the maritime environment.
