U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jada Cook, a native of Green Island, New York, and a small arms repair technician with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, cleans a M2 .50 caliber machine gun on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, May 22, 2024. Cpl. Cook was selected as the warrior of the week because of her mentorship and work ethic, providing over 40 hours of comprehensive instruction on maintenance report management, she has empowered her peers and elevated the unit's collective proficiency. When asked about her leadership style she said, “I encourage them not to be afraid to stand out,” she continued, “instilling confidence and trust in my marines in order for them to have that confidence and trust within themselves.” Each week, 2nd MLG recognizes one outstanding Marine or Sailor that goes above and beyond in their duties and embodies the qualities of an outstanding service member.
