A remotely controlled Micro Tactical Ground Robot prepares for an operation as part of the culminating exercise (CULEX) during African Lion 2024 (AL24) near Tifnit, Morocco, on May 27-28, 2024. The training features subterranean warfare, psychological operations, building clearing, combined assaults, fast-rope insertion, rappelling, and hostage rescue during AL24, the U.S. Africa Command’s premier, combined, joint exercise led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), running from April 19 to May 31 across Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia, with over 8,100 participants from 27 nations and NATO contingents.
