Kassie McDole, the communication strategy and operations chief and gender advisor for Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 24.3, gives a class about gender in conflict to Papua New Guinea Defence Force members during a Women, Peace and Security Gender Focal Point course at the Kumul Learning Center, Murray Barracks, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, May 21, 2024. The course was facilitated by the PNGDF Gender Committee with support from the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command's Office of WPS, and trained gender advisors with U.S. Air Force Wisconsin Air National Guard, and U.S. Marine Corps Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 24.3. The PNGDF Gender Committee focused on equipping defence force personnel with the tools necessary to integrate gender perspectives into their operational strategies to enhance PNGDF institutional and organizational effectiveness.
