ASAN, Guam (May 30, 2024) - Andrew Babas, Fire Captain, enlisted into the Navy Reserve, becoming the first to establish the Navy Reserve Fire and Emergency Services on the island. Now ABF1, Capt. Babas will set up the command, combining his experience as a prior Marine Corps and Guardsman with his civilian profession. The unit is designed to support emergency operations on Guam. IS2 Johnavan Tamayo, a Prior Service Recruiter and Career Counselor, is tasked with filling billets for this new unit, seeking qualified Veterans and Prior Service individuals to work alongside ABF1 Babas.
