May 30, 2024, U.S. Army MG Haldane Lamberton, the adjutant general of Kentucky, and the Kentucky National Guard hosted U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear for a press conference at the Army Aviation Support Facility on Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort.The purpose of this event was to inform the public on the federal funding secured for the KYNG's readiness and effectiveness when supporting both federal and state missions.
