Staff Sgt. Daniel Schnaars demonstrates the use of a pallet spear and crossbar to place a top net on a tall pallet inside the cargo processing warehouse at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, on May 4, 2024. This pallet spear is the fourth prototype of the tool, which Schnaars built at his workshop at his home in Indiana between unit training assemblies. He and Staff Sgt. Kirk Laytart have been working on the tool since October 2023.
