The Sous-Prefet gives remarks during the "Kids Ceremony." School children with ages ranging from 8-15 from the Normandy region prepared several pieces honoring the Allied Soldiers who payed the ultimate sacrifice on June 6, 1944. Soldiers from the 207th Military Intelligence Brigade-Theater joined the local children and residents in honoring those Soldiers. U.S. service members from units in Europe and the U.S. will participate in 120 events and ceremonies June 1-9, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day in the Normandy region of France.
