Brig. Gen Matthew. M. Bacon, the assistant adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard expressed his gratitude for the surviving families’ support and encouraged them to keep their loved one’s memories alive. “There are two deaths, one when they die and one we when stop telling their stories,” said Bacon.
