U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Bryce Cooper, an aerial spray system maintainer with the 910th Aerial Spray Maintenance Flight, denotes the product load, May 29, 2024, while his colleagues fill the tanks of a 910th Airlift Wing Modular Aerial Spray System onboard an aerial spray modified C-130H Hercules aircraft parked at Williston Basin International Airport, North Dakota. Based out of Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, the 910th AW maintains the Department of Defense’s only large area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability to eliminate disease-carrying insects and pest insects. The unit conducts the mosquito larval control mission in partnership with the Williams County Vector Control District annually to provide Reserve Citizen Airmen real-world training while simultaneously assisting a need in the community.
