Rob Perry, SETAF-AF director of operations and training, acting as exercise chief of staff, met with directorate leaders addressing areas the team could continue to improve during the Command Post Exercise (CPX) portion of African Lion 2024 at Agadir, Morocco, May 24. The CPX provides participants an opportunity to teach, rehearse and learn from a multinational group of military professionals. African Lion 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of U.S. Africa Command’s premier joint exercise led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), running from April 19 to May 31 across Ghana; Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia, with over 8,100 participants from 27 nations and NATO contingents.
