Munson Army Health Center Patient Administration Division Chief Karl Koob received one last “medical record” -- before he retired from federal service May 31.
The team presented Koob with a wooden plaque that resembled a Department of Defense Medical Record.
Koob's U.S. Army affiliation began in the late 1960s when he was called up for the draft. After his initial service commitment, he continued to serve in the Army, eventually retiring from active duty.
After, he attended both Kansas State University and the University of Kansas earning a degree in Health Information Management.
He joined the team at Munson Army Health Center in 2014.
