A Peruvian Air Force medical professional lays on a litter for a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course as part of exercise Resolute Sentinel 2024 at Las Palmas Air Base in Lima, Peru, June 4, 2024. Widely recognized for its effectiveness in reducing preventable combat deaths, TCCC focuses on providing life-saving care at the point of injury. It includes techniques for controlling severe bleeding, managing airways and treating other critical injuries on the battlefield. The Resolute Sentinel exercise honors the U.S. promise to be a trusted partner in the region by increasing collaboration, enhancing interoperability, and building partner nation capacity so that partners can quickly work together when support is needed.
