The Commanding Officer of Naval Station Great Lakes, Captain Steve Yargosz, served as the keynote speaker for the National Museum of the American Sailor's Battle of Midway Commemoration on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
CAPT Yargosz provided a unique and informative presentation on the significance of this battle. Roughly ninety students from both the Surface Warfare Engineering School Command (SWESEC) and Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) were present along with members of the one of Naval Station's Marine Corps divisions and the general public.
