(June 6, 2024) Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Shaun Licurse, assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), displays damage control training flags for a simulated fire during an 8010 major fire drill, June 6. The 8010 drill is a limited training team validation exercise to test the ship’s ability to extinguish a fire in an industrial environment and the crew’s ability to integrate with commands and organizations outside of the ship.
