US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin gives a speech during the D-Day 80 ceremony. Austin gave thanks to veterans and honored several who made the journey back to Normandy. This event was one of several commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the D-Day operations conducted by Allied forces on June 6, 1944. The ceremony, held at the Normandy American Cemetery, was attended by 25 heads of state, 4,500 spectators, and around 200 veterans. (U.S. Army photo by 1st Lt. Katherine Sibilla)
