The purpose of this visit was to assess and build upon the current state of training and facilities to ensure the force is continuously evolving so that we can build a force that is leaner, more mobile, and more lethal across every domain, guaranteeing our ability to fight and win wherever called in the future. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.(U.S. Army photo by Pfc.
