Children's Day is a European holiday celebrated at the beginning of June to commemorate the achievements of students during the school year and to welcome in the summer, soldier member presence during this event aided in asserting local presence and building connections with the next generation of NATO allies. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, strengthening interoperability with NATO allies and regional security partners, which provides competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
