Keyon Battle, a tank loader assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team - “Ironhorse,” 1st Cavalry Division, for his exceptional performance at Camp Herkus, Lithuania, June 8, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to ensure the task force is well trained, fit, disciplined, lethal and ready to accomplish their mission. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
