The Fort McCoy Garrison Command Team participated in the 2024 Butterfest Milking Competition June 8, 2024. The participants, Garrison Commander Col Stephen Messenger, Command Sgt Maj Thomas Calarco, Deputy to the Garrison Commander Cameron Cantlon and Lt Col James Ontiveros, placed second in the Amateur Division with 43 ounces of milk within the 4 minute time limit. The team, and even their family, wore matching shirts with a cow wearing a helmet with the Fort McCoy Triad that said “The Real MooCoy” making a fun impact on the Butterfest Fairgrounds.
