U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1433rd Combat Engineer Company-Infantry, 507th Engineer Battalion, Michigan Army National Guard, jump from a UH-60 Black Hawk for helocast training and swim ashore during annual training at Camp Grayling, Mich., on June 11, 2024. A helocast is an airborne technique that allows service members to jump directly from a helicopter into water when ground vehicles are not a feasible means of approach.
Annual training is typically a 15-day training period that allows Soldiers to execute complex training plans to increase proficiency in unit essential tasks.
