U.S. Marine Corps Col. Charles VonBergen, the chief of staff of Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, throws the first pitch prior to the San Diego Padres baseball team at MCRD San Diego, California, June 14, 2024. The Padres Alumni visited the depot to demonstrate their support for the military with spirited competition and to thank the personnel with MCRD San Diego for their service.
