A photo of the Costa Rican mountains is taken while conducting a real-world mission to repair a radio tower during CENTAM Guardian 24 Phase II at the San Jose, Costa Rica, June 11, 2024. Two National Commission of Emergencies telecommunication technicians were transported to the repair sight using a Blackhawk helicopter assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo and utilizing Marines from 4th Civil Affairs Group, Marine Forces Reserve, as translators. Exercise CENTAM Guardian 24 Phase II, an annual, multinational exercise designed to build humanitarian assistance/disaster response functional capacity, 3-14 June, is taking place in various locations throughout Costa Rica.
