The U.S. Army Strings take an official photo at The White House, June 13 2024. The U.S. Army Strings are one of the most unique elements of The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own." Their primary mission is to provide musical support to senior leaders of the United States. They help set the strategic environment for peace as musical ambassadors for high level government and military officials, as well as foreign diplomatic visitors. They also perform for ceremonies and public concerts. These highly skilled musicians work together to perform the majority of their repertoire from memory, often with very little notice before high profile missions at venues such as The White House.
