U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund, commanding general, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), pins the Army Commendation Medal on Maj. Brian Andries, SETAF-AF public affairs officer, during the quarterly SETAF-AF All-Hands brief at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, June 21, 2024. Andries, along with Col. Michael Weisman, Sgt. Maj. Casey Nelsen and Col. Joseph Bruhl, received the award for their work on the design and implementation of the new SETAF-AF shoulder sleeve insignia. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe & Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis response options in Africa and Europe.
