U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jacob Hazlett, a coxswain with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, maneuvers a combat rubber raiding craft during a boat raid exercise on Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, June 21, 2024. Marines with BLT 1/4 conducted the raid exercise to strengthen and refine company tactics and procedures, improve their ability to conduct assaults from the sea and ensure readiness for real-world scenarios. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. Hazlett is a native of New York. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Osmar Gutierrez)
