ANSBACH, Germany (June 21, 2024) Col. Aaron Southard took command of U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Ansbach from Col. Aaron Dixon during a change of command ceremony at the Von Steuben Community Activity Center on Bismarck Kaserne with the Installation Management Command-Europe Director, Tommy Mize, officiating. This ceremony was attended by many Host Nation dignitaries as well as many of the garrison workforce, who wanted to bid farewell to the outgoing commander and welcome the new garrison commander.
The hand over of the USAG Ansbach Installation Management Command Europe flag marks a change in leadership, thus highlighting a new era of command for the garrison.
USAG Ansbach is a U.S. Army Power Projection Platform consisting of aviation, engineering, and artillery assets spread across nine Kasernes in the heart of Middle Franconia, Germany.
