Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Clinton Garrett shared a bit of his history, including growing up in Detroit during the turbulence of the 1960s, as one of the guest speaker at Walter Reed's Juneteenth celebration June 18. Garrett also performed his rap song, "Elder's Toil," which pays homage to "those who paved the way and broke through barriers."
