U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Michael Langley, commander of U.S. Africa Command, visited Mogadishu, Somalia on June 21-22. During his visit, he met with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Somalia Minister of Defense Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, senior State Department and defense officials, U.S. Military members, and African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) leaders. They discussed shared priorities and operations, including the fight against al Shabaab.
