U.S. Marines and Sailors with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, provide medical assistance to a simulated casualty during a routine light package fly away mission exercise on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, June 24, 2024. The mission served as an opportunity for the Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel team to train and evaluate the 31st MEU's medical abilities in tactical situations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
