U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) and U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the Naval Beach Group 1, transport humanitarian aid from different vessels including the causeway ferry, French vessel FS Loire, U.S. Army vessel LSV-5, and USNS GySgt Fred W. Stockham (T-AK-3017), June 12, 2024, off the coast of Gaza. After a temporary suspension due to heavy sea states causing equipment damage, the temporary pier, part of the Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore capability, resumed maritime delivery of international humanitarian aid to Gaza for distribution to Palestinian people in need.
