A U.S. Air Force 177th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS) crew chief signals an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet pilot from the 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard, to hold prior to takeoff, along with other 177th AMXS members, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, June 5, 2024. The enlisted Airmen of the 177FW played a vital role in keeping the unit’s aircraft operational during Sentry Aloha 24-2, sending off pilots and getting airpower where it was needed the most. Sentry Aloha 24-2 is an exercise facilitated by the 154th Wing, Hawaii Air National Guard, providing tailored, cost-effective and realistic combat training for Total-Force Airmen and other Department of Defense components.
