The camera of a U.S. Marine Corps Autonomous Low-Profile Vessel operates in open water off the coast of Naval Base Point Loma, Calif., on June 13, 2024. Combat Logistics Battalion 12, 3d Marine Logistics Group, experimented with the ALPV in a simulated covert logistical resupply from California to Santa Catalina Island. The ALPV provides the ability to resupply a dispersed lethal fighting force discreetly spread across an island chain mediated by contested maritime terrain, inching the Marine Corps closer to its goals for Force Design 2030.
