Troopers from The 1st Infantry Division’s Commanding General’s Mounted Color Guard participated in the Pony Express Annual Re-Ride along side Abilene's own Pony Express Association members, in Abilene, Kansas, on June 18, 2024. Troopers that participated and rode with the local Abilene Pony Express Association got the opportunity to sign their names across the mailbags that would be handed off to the next riders to take charge of the precious cargo.
