William Prince Jr., incoming ASA Commander, with the assistance of U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Gregory Harmon, ASA Senior Enlisted Leader, and Patrick Appleman, U.S. Army Installation Management Command-Readiness Director, during an ASA change of command ceremony at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, July 2, 2024. The change of command ceremony is a military tradition dating back to the 18th century, where a guidon of the unit’s colors is passed to the incoming commander for the unit to witness their new leader assuming the position.
