Aachen, Germany (July 2, 2024) - A rider carrying the U.S. colors gallops by the crowd of nearly 40,000 who witnessed the opening of the 100th iteration of the World Equestrian Festival (CHIO-Aachen). The spectacle of the opening ceremony honored the United States as the guest nation, and included the EUCOM Joint Color Guard, members of the Old Guard, gymnasts, cheerleaders, pioneer wagons and mustangs, football players and fireworks.
