KINGSTON, Jamaica (July 10, 2024) Dr. Nicole Dawkins-Wright, Director of Emergency, Disaster Management, and Special Services at the Jamaica Ministry of Health & Wellness, delivers remarks and accepts U.S. Department of Defense Denton Program donations during an official transfer ceremony at the port of Kingston, Jamaica. Spearhead-class fast expeditionary transport ship USNS Burlington (T-EPF 10) transported the donations as part of U.S. Southern Command’s Continuing Promise 2024 mission. Continuing Promise 2024 marks the 14th mission to the region since 2007, which aims to foster goodwill, strengthen existing partnerships, and encourage the establishment of new partnerships among countries, non-government organizations, and international organizations.
